ACRIA values the privacy of our donors. Our privacy practices include:

Donor Information

ACRIA is the only entity that uses information on donor names, home and e-mail addresses and phone numbers. We do not sell, share or rent this information to others under any circumstances. We collect information from donors only in connection with fundraising through online mechanisms, through ticket sales to special events, direct mail appeals and for any other purposes that are clearly and explicitly identified to donors.

ACRIA collects the following personally identifiable information through online and direct mail appeals: name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. ACRIA uses this data to acknowledge receipt of donations for tax purposes and to include individuals on our mailing list for charitable solicitations and to update them on our program activities. If anyone wishes to be removed from our mailing list, they can let us know by calling Scott Drevnig at 212-924-3934 x 101 or through e-mail at sdrevnig@acria.org.

Also, when a donation is received in honor or in memory of someone along with a request that the acknowledgement be sent to another individual/family, ACRIA only uses the name and address of that individual/family for acknowledgement purposes.

Data Security

ACRIA has enacted responsible physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the donor-related information collected in order to prevent unauthorized access to and ensure the appropriate use of data.

Correcting Donor Information

Donors can correct or amend personal information within ACRIA's mailing list by contacting Scott Drevnig at 212-924-3934 x 101 or through e-mail at sdrevnig@acria.org. ACRIA takes reasonable steps to verify the identity of a donor before making requested corrections in order to protect the privacy and security of donors. Prior to being given any information, callers or e-mail requests are required to provide us with cross-referenced questions, i.e. full name, address and phone number in order to verify identity.

ACRIA's Web Site

ACRIA's online server automatically recognizes domain names (IP addresses) of visitors in order to compile statistical data only. Personally identifiable information about individual users is not collected or tracked through the use of cookies. ACRIA's web site contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these linked websites.

Notification of Changes

Should ACRIA amend its privacy practices, the changes will be posted on our web site so that donors are always aware of what information we collect, how it is used and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. In the event of any changes, however, ACRIA will use previously collected information in accordance with the privacy policy in place at the time that the information was collected.
